APRIL 2013
LC EXHIBIT AT THE CV SHOW

For the first time ever LC Vehicle Hire have exhibited at the CV Show. Having been visitors year after year we finally bit the bullet by exhibiting the latest generation of 32 tonne tipper grabs to what turned out to be the best attended CV Show in years. With the opportunity to meet a massive range of new customers as well as some of the old faces we got a great response to both the extensive specification and the build quality that we offer. The show has given us the opportunity to present ourselves as a national company for the first time and the introduction of Bristol to our depot network was not lost on people with some good enquiries for this corner of the country.
The show goes down as a massive success and plans have already commenced for us to be there again in 2014

Daniel Contractors choose LC

After a rigorous procurement process LC Vehicle Hire have been awarded a long term contract for the supply of the Daniel Utility Fleet.

The contract is for both short term hire vehicles, which will be supplied from our existing fleet, as well as a large number of bespoke vehicles as part of a long term contract hire agreement. This will see Daniel take delivery of a number of brand new 7.5t tippers, and then a mixture of 18, 26 and 32 tonne tipper grabs all built to the very latest specification.

The contract will also see LC Vehicle hire expand our national coverage into the South West of England and South Wales and we are currently in talks to purchase a suitable workshop and yard facilities in the region. It is hoped that this site will be open and fully operational by mid spring at the latest. More news on this will be added in due course.

LC VEHICLE HIRE ADD MOFFETT MOUNTY'S TO THE HIRE FLEET......

“As part of our constant search for new markets we have added Truck Mounted Forklifts to the hire fleet as of October 2011. With the purchase of 2 brand new Moffett Mounty’s we see this as the beginning of a new opportunity for us within the building supplies and waste management sectors that we currently deal with. Having sought the guidance of Cargotech we have brought in a general purpose specification that will meet the needs of most operators for either short or longer term requirements. Add to this the fact that we are able to offer full contract hire on bespoke customer needs and we are well placed to expand this aspect of our fleet”

AERIAL PLATFORMS TUNE IN TO LC VEHICLE HIRE

APL team up with Leeds Commercial
Recently issued as a press release by Aerial Platforms........
'We are pleased to announce further investment in 3 new delivery vehicles for the APL fleet a 32t, 26t and 18t. After lengthy trials with various providers we decided to go with LCV. They provide out of hours 6 weekly inspections, brand new vehicles with the latest fall arrest bodies and a service vehicle for our drivers to return to our depot further reducing downtime.
We will be trialling a tractor unit and bespoke trailer early next year when our new arrivals of big booms and scissors are planned. All machine orders will be the latest tier engines and all trucks complying with the ever evolving Euro emission laws helping reduce the company’s carbon footprint'

Commenting on the recent order LC Vehicle Hire Sales Director Paul Bumford stated.........
Following on from lengthy discussions we have received an order for 3 new beavertails from Aerial Platforms. The main driving factor in their choice of vehicle provider has been our service back up and support and our ability to provide out of hours service from our site in Manchester. Our challenge now is to match the service levels that Aerial Platforms offer their own customers.
As a market that we are expanding into it has been a good insight into customer expectations and clearly we have been able to demonstrate our commitment to meeting them.

MAN ORDERS FLOOD IN FROM LEEDS COMMERCIAL

Leeds Commercial Vehicle Hire, one of northern England’s largest independent vehicle rental companies, is adding an increasing number of MAN trucks to its growing fleet.

Latest deliveries include ten TGX 26.440 6x2 tractors, with another 20 on order. 10-off TGS 35.360 8x4s are currently in build, while ten Euro-4 TGM 26.290 4x2 rigids with Palfinger cranes have also been taken in recent months.

With operating centres in Leeds, Bradford, Barnsley, Sherburn and Manchester, Leeds Commercial supplies rental vehicles across a wide range of industry sectors.

“A significant factor in our current preference for MAN is that there’s no AdBlue,” said company director, Chris Miller. “For our type of operation, we can well do without the hassle. MAN has a full range of trucks powered by EGR technology and that means hassle-free operation for us.

“Key also to the decision to go for MAN is the exemplary level of service we enjoy from our MAN Service Centre in Wakefield, Pelican Engineering. We’ve had a relationship with the dealer for many years, and we were delighted when it took the franchise to provide service and parts for MAN vehicles.

Leeds Commercial has over 50 years experience in all aspects of UK vehicle hire. From its bases across the north of England, the company specialises in spot hire, short-term rental, municipal and Local Authority contracts. Leeds Commercial also performs its own service and maintenance at its own workshops and has its own small vehicle sales parc.
